As I am sure many of you have heard already, the movie FITNA by Dutch MP Geert Wilders was released this evening on LiveLeak. I have had very little luck watching it directly on LiveLeak and a bit more luck watching it on Little Green Footballs (with a high speed, broadband line, albeit not as fast as many of you have in the US, for example). So I am going to embed it here in the hope that it will make it easier for some of you to watch it. Here’s a brief description of the movie from Al-AP: Continue reading FITNA, the movie…

Do what you love, love what you do and deliver more than you promise.

Continue reading Drive By Need…

Continue reading ASK AND IT SHALL BE GIVEN YOU…

My brothers and sisters in Iman-Islam, let us speak further on the meaning of holy war, or Jihad. If we understand the Qur’an properly, and if we understand the traditions of the Prophet (Sal.), then Islam will be the water of grace for the entire world. It will cleanse everyone of their dirt and quench their thirst. It will make all hearts peaceful and be the very pulse of life the heartbeat for all the children of Adam (A.S.) for all of creation.
A direct revelation to Muhammad, the Messenger of God Continue reading Islam – “The Meaning of Holy War”…

“How can I love better?”
Love is enough unto itself. It needs no betterment. It is perfect as it is; it is not in any way meant to be more perfect. The very desire shows a misunderstanding about love and its nature. Can you have a perfect circle? All circles are perfect; if they are not perfect, they are not circles. Perfection is intrinsic to a circle and the same is the law about love. You cannot love less, and you cannot love more — because it is not a quantity. It is a quality, which is immeasurable.
Your very question shows that you have never tasted what love is, and you are trying to hide your lovelessness in the desire of knowing “how to love better.” No one who knows love can ask this question.
Love has to be understood, not as a biological infatuation — that is lust. Continue reading How Can I Love Better…

STOP ALL CRITICISM. Criticism never changes a thing. Refuse to criticize yourself. Accept yourself exactly as you are. Everybody changes. When you criticize yourself, your changes are negative. When you approve of yourself, your changes are positive.
DON’T SCARE YOURSELF. Stop terrorizing yourself with your thoughts. It’s a dreadful way to live. Find a mental image that gives you pleasure (mine is yellow roses), and immediately switch your scary thought to a pleasure thought. Continue reading How to Love Yourself…

To do something well you have to like it. That idea is not exactly novel. We’ve got it down to four words: “Do what you love.” But it’s not enough just to tell people that. Doing what you love is complicated.
The very idea is foreign to what most of us learn as kids. When I was a kid, it seemed as if work and fun were opposites by definition. Life had two states: some of the time adults were making you do things, and that was called work; the rest of the time you could do what you wanted, and that was called playing. Occasionally the things adults made you do were fun, just as, occasionally, playing wasn’t—for example, if you fell and hurt yourself. But except for these few anomalous cases, work was pretty much defined as not-fun. Continue reading How To Do What You Love…
